The team S.O.S. (Students of Saint-Petersburg) is an amalgamation of creative students from different universities of St. Petersburg: Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnical University, Saint-Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI", the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, North-west Academy of Public Administration.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from 5 through 23. The nonstandard problems help to develop in children and students their creative thinking that predetermines success in the life. Thanks to participation in this program children and students get an opportunity to develop their creative abilities, visit different countries and find new friends. Students can progress in different professions such as designers, actors and directors, composers and poets, script-writers and journalists. They study to make props and costumes and use different technical means.

Children have a nice possibility to make new friends and to talk to children the same age as them from many other countries of the world.

Our teem has participated in this program since 2007. By now we had already been on EuroFestivals in Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Belorussia, Poland, on international camp in Slovakia, on World Finals in U.S.A. We had won regional championships in Saint-Petersburg and Belarus, EuroFestival in Poland.

Many of competitors have been in that project for many years, and “Odyssey of the Mind” is a special world for them, which combines people and gives them an opportunity to fulfill themselves:
